The Tumor Conference is a monthly meeting that provides a forum for physicians of different specialties to come together and discuss cancer cases.
During the meeting, the patient’s physician presents a summary of the case, including patient history, physical findings, and procedures performed. The audience also reviews the projected radiology tests and pathology slides.
The multispecialty audience then gives recommendations for further diagnostic testing and cancer treatment based on best practices and national guidelines for each patient presented.
Tumor Conference meets twice a month at noon on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month in the Hannibal Regional board room. Physicians and ancillary staff are welcome to attend. Lunch and one CME are provided.
To request your patient for presentation contact the Cancer Registry at 573-248-5430.
